Italian

The class starts with teaching Phonics (students will be introduced to the names of letters of the Italian alphabet and the sounds these letters produce in words. The class will include basic vocabulary (numbers, time, calendar, weather, etc.) and basic grammar, agreement between nouns and adjectives, conjugation of the verbs in the present tense, etc.) Also, there will be dialogues and easy stories for comprehension to reinforce the previously learnt material. Each session includes a lot of exercises.

About the instructor:  Tatyana Davis is originally from Ukraine. She has always been fascinated with foreign language linguistics.  She has always wanted to be able to read the books of famous authors in their original tongue, not a translated version into her native language. She has 26 years of experience teaching languages, mostly Spanish and Italian, at the college level, middle school, and 20+ years teaching adult community education at East.
