Oil Pastel Workshop: Fall Farmer's Market Still Life

Discover the rich, expressive world of oil pastels through the colors and textures of the fall farmers' market. In this welcoming, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to layer and blend color, create texture, and capture light using this wonderfully tactile medium.

Choose a simple seasonal subject such as a bulb of garlic, a cluster of figs, a striped squash, a market bouquet, or a pair of ripe pears. With guided instruction, you’ll turn it into a vibrant still-life study that celebrates its shape, color, and character. You’ll leave with a finished oil pastel artwork, a practical foundation in essential techniques, and plenty of inspiration to keep experimenting at home.

You’ll work with rich, buttery oil pastels provided for shared use and create your finished piece on beautiful Italian-made, deckle-edged paper—a luxurious surface that makes even a small study feel worthy of framing and gifting.
