Oil Pastel Workshop: Fall Scenery

Capture the color and atmosphere of fall in this welcoming, beginner-friendly oil pastel workshop. You’ll learn how to layer and blend color, create texture, and use light and shadow to bring a seasonal landscape to life.

Your scene might feature golden aspens against the Wasatch peaks, a trail winding through changing leaves, colorful foothills, or an alpine lake reflecting an autumn sky. With guided instruction and plenty of room for your own interpretation, you’ll create a vivid mountain landscape without getting caught up in perfect realism. You’ll leave with a finished oil pastel artwork, a practical foundation in essential techniques, and new ways to notice the scenery around you.

You’ll work with rich, buttery oil pastels provided for shared use and create your finished piece on beautiful Italian-made, deckle-edged paper—a luxurious surface that makes even a small study feel worthy of framing and gifting.
