Whether you have Swedish ancestry, are planning a visit, or simply have an interest in Scandinavia, this class is perfect for you! We will focus on reading simple texts, building vocabulary, and learning grammar including pronunciation, sentence structure, and tenses. We will have brief discussions around culture and history. Beginners will gain a solid foundation in the Swedish language, while those with prior knowledge will enhance their listening, speaking, and writing skills. All class materials provided.

About the instructor:  Martina Sprague grew up in the Stockholm area of Sweden. She has been teaching Swedish language and culture classes for nearly a decade through the Salt Lake Community Education Program. She is enthusiastic about everything Swedish and focuses her classes on both grammar and conversation.
