Block Printing: Holiday Gift Bags & Tags

Create your own signature holiday wrapping with one-of-a-kind, block-printed bags and tags that make the outside as thoughtful as what’s inside.

Learn the art of block printing, from designing and carving your own linoleum block to inking it and printing your own holiday bags and tags. You’ll also have the option to share blocks with fellow participants, expanding your design options.

Take home 10 bags of various sizes and 10 finished gift tags, plus your carved block for a holiday signature you can use year after year.

About the instructor:  Jeanette Lukens is a relief print maker working mostly with wood and linoleum blocks that are hand carved and hand printed.  Jeanette participates regularly in juried art shows and markets throughout Utah, and teaches printmaking workshops in several locations.  She has work in the Salt Lake Community College Permeant Collection, and was Tracy Aviary’s first Artist in Residence in 2025 and 2026.
