Acrylic Painting

In this class you will create three acrylic paintings while learning the skills to make each one your own. Through guided exercises, demonstrations, and worksheets, you’ll explore foundational acrylic techniques, painting terminology, color mixing and color theory, composition, and the use of light and shadow. You’ll also look at examples of well-composed paintings and photographs to learn how to choose and develop an image that works well on canvas.

Rather than having everyone follow the same formula, instructor Jen Terry will help you develop your own ideas and make creative choices along the way. Your first two paintings will give you the chance to practice new techniques, while your final piece will bring everything you’ve learned together into a finished painting that feels distinctly yours.
