Start building the foundation to understand and speak Italian in this welcoming class for beginners. You’ll begin with the Italian alphabet and the sounds its letters make, then build practical vocabulary around numbers, time, the calendar, weather, and other everyday topics. You’ll also learn foundational grammar, including noun and adjective agreement and how to conjugate verbs in the present tense, so you can begin putting sentences together.
Through dialogues, easy stories, comprehension activities, and plenty of practice, you’ll reinforce what you learn and begin recognizing the language, expressing simple ideas, and gaining the confidence to keep going. This class is also the starting point for a continuing Italian series, giving your beginning cohort the opportunity to keep learning and progressing together in future sessions.
About the instructor: Tatyana Davis is originally from Ukraine. She has always been fascinated with foreign language linguistics.
